Lyke, NOES. I am not in any way expressing Yaoi of any sort here.
 This is symbolism people. SYMBOLISM.Right, so here we have L & B. (B being Beyond Birthday, the 'antagonist' of the novel, Death Note: Another Note.) I took the idea for this from another piece, but I intend no Yaoi in this case. I just thought the pose idea was pure awesomeness. Since I've been planning to do an L/B piece for quite some time now, and haven't had any ideas, I thought I would do this...sort of like staring into your own reflection and not liking what you see. I guess in that sense, it's a similar thing with L and B. B is supposed to be the next successor to L...but instead he's become the total opposite: the opposition...and yet he makes himself out to look just like that of L. It's sort of like mirrors. You see yourself in a mirror, but everything is reversed. LAWL. It looks like he appeared out of nowhere and scared L to death.  Anyhow, I was working on this since yesterday, as a way of learning to do profiles (they've always been my downfall...) Glad it's finished...although now I'm not sure what I'll do. Perhaps I'll finish that quick sketch I did of Kira from the manga...or I'll finish one of my other pieces that I'm procrastinating on.LAWL. I'm still tempted to do a BB piece involving Jam...to be cliché of course. Yes that is Tip-Ex. It's wonderful what you can do with a correction pen. (and yes, this is what happens when I buy new pencils/blending equipment) I tried a peach and blue to colour the skin tone with black shading, blended. What do you think? Better than orange? |
