How to Paint Matt in GIMP

I'm sure you'll be able to change this to be for photoshop. All you really need is the pen tool, the crop tool, the smudge tool, the airbrush tool, and the ability to change pressure rate and opacity. Photoshop has all of that, so there's no worries. :aww:

I know some of you have been wanting me to make a tutorial for quite a long time now, so I've finally done it. I was putting it off for a long time, because I knew how long it would take, and the hell I would have to go through. But at least it's done now. :aww:

Apologies if this doesn't seem to load. 0_o it is an enormous file. And, there may be typos. That's just because I was using my vector program, Inkscape, and it doesn't allow me to sort out typos. Not to mention I wanted to get this up. XD (LOLZ. I think I put CD Up there instead of 3D, and you'll occassionally see a missing letter, or an extra one in some cases.)

And I apologise for the text looking as if there are no "i"s. I think it's because I had to convert it to .jpg format.

Note that I'm awful at painting ears, and it's all smudgy and bleh because that's the best I could do with a mouse. These days, I'm more in tune with tablets. They're much better for painting on. Details and opacity and such.

Hi, I've used photoshop for YEARS and am an addict, but would love to expand my skill base with gimp as it has some great brushes etc. However I find the inability to flip between brush and colour picker really hampers me. Is there any way of doing this with a hot key etc?

Hm. Uh. Not that I've found out so far. Although I've moved to Corel Painter 12 now, which is absolutely amazing. But I haven't really figured a way of going from colour picker to brush. Over time you just get to the point where you use your own colours, I guess. :D

tip: for the hair use a brush with the 'fade out' application - saves my life and is sooo easy!!

Ah! That's actually a good idea! Wow. Why didn't I think of that? :lol:! Fade out's always just been this really irritating thing that I click now and again and proceeds to make me complain about 'faulty applications' until I notice it's been checked. :lol:

this is the coolest thing that i have ever seen even though when i comes to gimp that I am totally useless, massive muse fan this was awesome to see
